IMPORTANT LAWS IN NICARAGUA: Part A
Laws in Nicaragua - Our legislation is very similar to that of all American countries, which clearly define the right and wrong, as we learn from an early age. Our current Penal Code as effective as the Ninth of July this year (2007), has a broad classification of domestic and international crimes linked to terrorism for example: - The Criminal Code covers the punishing of bad behavior of citizens both domestic and foreign.
- In Nicaragua there is no extradition for Nationals. Extradition for Foreigners yes, as per previously signed international agreements.
- The maximum penalty in our country is thirty years.
- There is no death penalty.
- There is a wide range of crimes that perhaps many people are not aware of
- All persons are equal before the law, are equally entitled to protection.
- The right to life is inviolable and inherent to the human person.
Everyone has duties to family, community, country and humanity. The rights of each person are limited by the rights of others, for the safety of all and by the just demands of the common good. Everyone has the right: - A individual freedom.

Everyone has the right:- In his private life and that of his family.
- The inviolability of their home, correspondence and communications of all kinds.
- To respect for his honor and reputation.

a.
