What relation does this history and art Nicaragua form have with your life?

Art Nicaragua, - Nicaragua has had a tumultuous history, and this history has determined her arts. One particular Nicaraguan style was refined firstly in a very small island called Solentiname. Solentiname gave to Nicaragua an experimental place to create art, paintings essentially and murals in eventual form.

Ernesto Cardenal, a famous poet, administered countless different workshops in the Solentiname community. Much of the art Nicaragua produced there was burned and censured by the National Guard, during Somoza’s regime.

After the over through of the Somoza dynasty, by the Sandinistas, followed a period of freedom of expression, ideology and national identity within the artistic community. This new ideology is intimately related to the now popular artistic forms.

What relation does this history and art Nicaragua form have with your life? Through understanding both the history and the art Nicaragua, you can help familiarize yourself with your friends and neighbors in Nicaragua. Helping you develop your own interest of personal expression and method of analyzing their world. Especially, you may develop your own methods to help your analysis of our world.

Here is a statement of one of our art Nicaragua artists.

Everything began when I was scarcely a child. When I started going to the school, when they gave to me my first notebook and my first pencil. How wonderful! I remember how excited I would get whenever they gave me a pencil. What an experience!

During my adolescence, after perfecting my drawing, I experimented with all kinds of painting and settled on working with oil to perfect my work.

I experimented with different topics, beginning with the portrait. I did portraits of pencil and charcoal. I did the human body, the neighborhoods at night and landscapes. I remained with the landscapes, my greatest challenge. I believe if one wants to learn to paint you must do so by painting landscapes.

I investigated the light. Examined the works of my colleagues. Though they were real these colors, contrasts, forces etc, they did not have what I longed for. Light? But with my perseverance and discipline I found what I was looking for.

The aspect of the light is very complex. The condition of the principal light, has its own counterpart. From this light one derives an infinite series of bigger, smaller and same intensities, which give origin to the color. This in turn becomes detached in small conditions of color, a poli-luminescence, an exquisite poli-chrome, which gives the finished work. Because basically the work is Light, Color, or light and color, is the object of my painting.

Why I do (paint)?... art Nicaragua

I paint, because inside me there is a child who refuses to grow. A child, that wants to continue playing with colors in a world that refuses to see in only gray color... I paint because the man who exists inside me expresses himself with colors and forms his feelings.

I paint, to communicate with colors, my perceptions, my emotions, my weeping, my laughing and up to my way of loving. I paint because painting is for me, is a need as basic as to breathe. Painting is hundred percent why I exist ... and only existing I can paint and on having painted give existence ... I share, express, feel and give.

I paint because I am full of colors, of lights, of emotions. I paint because my life is one to paint ... like a bird sings, because her life is one to sing.

I paint because I am a poet who writes his poetry with brushstrokes... Because I am a singer who sings accompanied by a pencil... I paint because I am the lover who crosses your soul with hot colors...

I have painted every picture with special fondness, the nocturnes, flowery walls, late afternoons, etc. Always I chose that pleasant moment, when the lights of the day give themselves an appointment. When one relieves the other one. When unnoticed, when transparent and in her almost imperceptible colors are born gems of the atmosphere. I catch them with my moistened paintbrush, and encapsulate them in the bundle of my linen. I painted at the moment that was personally identifying with me, already in the landscapes, portraits or taverns. My hand was guiding that paintbrush to choose the appropriate, closest color to do with the nature of a new creation.

My painting is done by every stone stumbled along the way, every leaf, every twig, every beam of light that in all these years I could have found, every dusty and traveled way, and every ruined house for the passage of time. It is dedicated to all these people who travel and live them, and to all these people who acquire them and appreciate art Nicaragua.
